Installing the Cartweaver Dreamweaver Extension

Installing Cartweaver 4 into Adobe Dreamweaver (version CS3 and Later ) is a simple operation. Simply extract the Cartweaver 4.mxi (Adobe Extension) from your downloaded Cartweaver 4 .zip file, and double click on the file. This should start Adobe Extension Manager and install the plug in. (Be sure Dreamweaver is not running when you do this.) Once the installation is complete, open Dreamweaver and you'll find the Cartweaver tab in Dreamweaver's main menu.

 

This procedure works the same for both ColdFusion and PHP, in all versions of Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 and later. You can install the CW4 Extension if you currently have Cartweaver 3 installed. You can have both the ColdFusion and PHP version of Cartweaver 4 Extensions installed at the same time.

Troubleshooting:

If the *Adobe Extension Manager does not start when you double click the Cartweaver 4 Extension .mxi file, you will need to open Adobe Extension Manager directly, then click the "Install Extension" link and browse to the Cartweaver 4 Extension File which you extracted from the Cartweaver downloaded .zip package.
