Featured Cartweaver Customer

Michael Evangelista

"Cartweaver makes it simple to quickly turn any site into a client-managed e-commerce catalog, yet it is flexible enough to provide my customers with any design feature or custom function they require. I've learned quite a bit about ColdFusion in general from my time spent working with Cartweaver - and the more I learn, the more I appreciate all that is 'under the hood' of this powerful application!"

Michael Evangelista is a freelance web developer, ColdFusion programmer, and owner of a small but successful web and print design company based in southern Utah.

In order to keep up with the growing demands of his small business clients, Michael needed an e-commerce solution that was not only easy to implement, but also flexible enough to be worked into a variety of visual and functional web site designs.

With the help of other users via the Cartweaver newsgroups, he found he was able to customize the basic Cartweaver files with ease, and still attributes his general success with ColdFusion to his initial positive experiences with Cartweaver. He has since become a regular contributor to the Cartweaver community and a producer of custom modifications and solutions for both the administration and display portions of the Cartweaver application.

Michael's company, Evangelista Design, has now grown from a design-oriented small business web design company to an international team of designers and ColdFusion developers, offering a wide range of full service ColdFusion solutions, including custom content management applications, database-driven corporate data systems, and more.

Michael's portfolio features a number of custom Cartweaver sites, with more on the way later this year. Some current examples include:

About the Project
"Built with a highly customized Cartweaver ColdFusion back end and a slick jQuery / javascript image selector routine, the Inked Press site allows the user to enter any word or phrase, and select from a gallery of images to represent each letter, building a custom "Picture Font" personalized photo frame which integrates seamlessly with the Cartweaver checkout process, passing the selected images and phrase to the company along with the order for quick, efficient processing of these made-to-order products. This was a fun project from start to finish, and everybody involved is pleased with the outcome. "
