The Cartweaver Server Behaviors

Setting up your store, adding text navigation and search forms couldn't be made any easier. Cartweaver's Setup and Search/Text Navigation server behaviors make these task quick and painless. You have the choice of accepting the default values, or you may customize your setup and search/text navigation by entering your own values.

Below you will find brief explanations of the dialogs along with screenshots. The Cartweaver PDF documentation provides a more in-depth look at these dialogs and step-by-step instructions in Section 4, which is available for download.

Setup

The next step after installing Cartweaver to your site, is the Setup server behavior. This dialog contains all the settings required for operating your Cartweaver store.

Search

The Search server behavior allows you to create two types of searches: Form and Link. You have full control over which fields are used for the Form search and what labels are used within text fields and on the button that submits the form.

The Links search allows you to:

  • assign a label for a hyperlink to all categories
  • choose from a list of Separators or type in your own
  • enter the code to place before and after the currently selected hyperlink

You may add a variety of searches to a single page. For example, you may have a search form on a page and search links for your store's navigation.

Dreamweaver's Design View

The Search/Navigation server behavior will render generic examples of your chosen options in Dreamweaver's Design view. A variety of search forms and text navigation links may be applied to the same page. Below are just a few examples of the infinite ways to display text navigation links and examples of each of the possible search forms
